Questions CEA has submitted:
- How do teachers communicate their Special Education goals to their Boards of Education?
- Do you think that Board Members know enough about how they can help provide direction to District administration to help teachers better meet kids' needs?
- Is the NEA supportive of the movement toward inclusive classrooms that embrace LRE? Is significant professional development required to make this shift? Is there NEA support for the co-teaching model?
- As there are typically students with disabilities in all classrooms, even if not all are qualified under IDEA, is the NEA supportive of ensuring that all teachers engage in preparation to meet the needs of such children in their general education degree and/or credentialing programs?
